How To Avoid The Side Effects Of Pituitary Micro Adenoma Treatment?
I have been taking .5mg of Cabergoline for 3 years for a 1 cm Pituitary microadenoma. I started with Parlodel 30 years ago and have been off and on taking Parlodel for many years then Cabergoline for many years. I am now eelingg a lot of side effects. I am always beyond tired, no energy. I ache, my muscles ache, I am depressed a lot, I don t have the mind strength I used to have, I don t have direction in my life, I am very cold frequently, I now have a complex cyst and a simple cyst, I never really feel good. I can feel my heart race, I am dizzy upon standing and need to hold on to something so I don t black out. I used to run, ran a marathon, and taught fitness classes. I was very high energy. Did taking these medications damage me for life. I want to stop taking them and find my old self. I now feel the side effects out way any benefit. Are you hearing the same from others regarding long term side effects? I have 2 kids, 5 and 13. I am 48 and need to live a quality life now!

I am so sorry to hear about this micro adenoma that you have reported. Did you have any symptoms before being put on this drug? At this point, the best person to talk with would be your treating doctor as he understand more why you were put on this drug. There are no other more beneficial drugs for this condition than those that you have already reported. This is often benign and women get diagnosed when they come down with infertility or menstrual irregularities. The reasons should be worrisome enough compared to these side effects so that you can make an informed choice.
