How To Check For Pregnancy?

I am 22 years old. 5' 4" and about 115-120llbs. I have reason to believe that i am pregnant. I have been very emotional the last two weeks, my breasts are very sore and feel really heavy, my sense of smell has gotten stronger lately and i have been nautious for about 4 days now. I am currenly on birth control, which allows me to get my period every 3 months. I last had it last month so im not due for awhile. I took a pregancy test 3 days ago at night and it came out negative, however the line was very faint. What do you suggest I do?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Msgic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.

The birth control pills that you are using are very effective (>99%) in preventing pregnancy. If you have been taking pills correctly, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. The symptoms you have could be due to hormonal variations in the body.

Urine pregnancy test is quite sensitive. Repeat the pregnancy test with the early morning urine sample today. If you want a more confirmatory test, do a blood pregnancy test.

I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, contact me through Healthcare Magic.
