I had a heavy cold which took 4 weeks to finish at end April, and now I have blocked ears like in aeroplane. I can hear my breathing going through my left ear which is quite blocked. I am also diabetic. How can my ears be cleared? The nurse said my ears are clean, no wax.
You may be suffering from eustachian tube blockage due to cold. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day for five days. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water, use tablet levocetrizine with monterleukast once a day for one week. If your not hypertensive means you may use ottrivin nasal spray to clear the block. Still no improvement please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
