I recently slept with a guy who might have herpes. However, we used a condom and he has never had an outbreak or symptoms. I developed a bump down there 3 days later. It was very small and I popped it and it bled. It s is purple around the edges and it does not hurt or itch. Could it be herpes?
Thank you for query.Herpes can manifest as tiny water filled swellings(vesicles) which may be grouped many times. They may start with fever malaise .usually they are associated with pain or burning sensation or itching.there may be many cases asymptomatic or without pain. Here it may be simple simple frictional injury or bacterial infection like folliculitis also.herpes can be diagnosed by a smear examination from lesion.if facilities available antibody testing can also be done at appropriate time. You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
