Hallow Dear,

The fact that your second test showed positive report proves that you are pregnant. That is why you did not get the withdrawal bleeding to Deviry.

Deviry is a Progestational medicine. Progesterone is required for the stabilization and maintenance of pregnancy. So Deviry should not cause any harm to the pregnancy.

However, I am rather concerned with a weak positive (faint line) result of your pregnancy test even after more than 3-4 weeks of missed period. Such week positive result is seen immediately after abortion or when the pregnancy is implanted somewhere outside the uterine cavity (ectopic pregnancy).

Ultrasonography will be useful in differentiating the diagnosis. If the products of conception are seen in the uterine cavity with heart activity, it is normal pregnancy; however if non-viable pregnancy is seen, it denotes missed abortion or blighted ovum and will need evacuation of the uterus.

If in spite of positive (weak) pregnancy test, the uterine cavity is empty, it suggests ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is a serious condition which may rupture any time requiring immediate surgical intervention with many units of blood transfusion. However, if diagnosed before rupture, it can be managed by medicines like Methotrexate.

Please report to your Gynaecologist ASAP for ultrasonography and able management.

I hope you got the message.
