How To Control Acne Rash?

My daughter (14 yo) is on doxycyline for acne (1 tab/ 2x daily) for about a month now. she has never had a sun sensitivity problem and has always used sunscreen. she spent time at the pool with a friend the other day and the next day her face was swollen, red, puffy and her body has tiny bumps on her torso, and arms. pediatrician thought foliculitis and contact dermatitis from sunscreen. i didn't trust that... took her to dermo and they (3 specialists) concurred that it is a doxy/sun exposure toxicity. she was prescribed cloderm .1% for face (5 days) and body (2 weeks) - both 2x/dy. Two days into treatment her torso looks better, the rash is spreading on her arms and her face, though less swollen on one side, is still red, puffy and painful and spreading towards her ear on one side. what do you recommend? another trip to dermo, her accupuncturist? help!!!
