How To Control Bad Cough Which Started After Flu Shot?
I now have my 76 year old mother living with me and she moved here from Florida and I am in need of a doctor for her at this time. we are new to McDonough Ga. and I she has Medicare and another try of insurance but she has a bad cough that did not appear until she too the flu shot and she has problem with her left should where as she can not move it. She is on Meds at this time from the Doctor in Florida, and I am trying to fine her a doctor here, you information to this matter would be greatly welcome at this time \. Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Cough is not secondary to flu shot. Flu shot can cause mild rashes or fever, however cough is unusual. 2. If its a dry cough, salt water gargling and paracetamol should help. Taking anti-histamines will also reduce cough. Soothening agents like strepsil, vicks can be used. 3. If cough is severe, cough suppression is necessary. She will need to take codeine sulphate containing medication. However, take it through a prescription from your doctor.
