Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns
I went through your details. Don't confuse yourself about the infant's hunger pangs. Midwife's opinion is general and general opinion depends mainly on their own experiences.
In the first few days of postnatal life, the baby requires very little milk. However, as the baby grows, the capacity to consume milk increases from 1 oz. on the first postnatal day to up to 15-20 oz. daily by week 2 and 3. By the end of week 4, the baby can ingest and digest up to 25 oz. to 30 oz. of milk daily.
One Oz is around 30 ml. In your child's case, the child consumes around 90 ml every feeding. I don't say that is normal but that is definitely not abnormal. Don't worry. Child asks for milk because it is hungry and it has the capacity to digest it. I suggest you to consult your
pediatrician for further confirmation.
