Hi, thanks for asking. In my opinion scolding or beating a child for not eating is not a good thing to do. It makes the child associate fear with food rather than hunger satisfaction. No food is indispensable for the child. If he refuses milk offer something else. Offer food at the regular meal times to the child. If he does not eat, remove the plate. Offer again at the next meal time. Offer him sips of water regularly. If he does not drink water offer other liquids like juice, lime water etc. Giving iron supplementation will improve his appetite. Passing urine once every two days is not normal. Please consult your treating doctor if this condition persisit as some blood and urine investigations may be required. I hope I have helped you. Thank you.
