How To Count Pregnancy In Months And Weeks Using Menstrual Cycle?
Hi Doctor, I have to ask you i am very much confused about. (my LMP was 04/04/2014)I had a scan on 14th and 16th day of my days my follicle size was 12.5mm and 16mm accordingly, which shows i dint ovulated, after missing my next m/s ive tested at home on 12th days after my m/s (04/05/2014) and it came out positive urine test and blood test test also. can you tell me how many weeks m pregnant now?
However unfortunately it is not possible to date a pregnancy very accurately by blood tests and urine tests are simply unbable to provide any information beyond the fact that pregnancy is present or absent.
So I suggest that you get an ultrasound scan done at 6 weeks. It will give an idea of the pregnancy duration with an error of +/- 4 days.
You have most likely ovulated on day 17-18. So you can safely count the pregnancy from your last menstrual period date and a 3-4 day error is acceptable.
Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
