How To Cure A Large 2 Inch Second Degree Burn On Forearm?
I suffered a large 2 inch second degree burn on my forearm @ work on an oven door in a bakery. I tried neosproin ointment and covered it with a telfa pad, but it looks like it has become infected. It is very red, more sore and swollen than when it happened and it is has puss seeping. It is also swollen around area. What kind of treatment is good and should I be using cream or ointment and is it o k to not cover it; as it seems to get worse when covered? Thank you!
I have gone through your query and I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medicines. Also, you can keep the area uncovered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
