How To Cure Acne?

Hi,I am a 24 year old male. I had acne during my teenage years, but was mostly free from acne since then. But for the last 1 year I have severe acne. I have seen a dermatologist who prescribed aczone and Atralin. But it did not really help me. I went to a follow up visit recently and the dermatologist prescribed minocyline for oral antibiotics and Atralin and Duac 1.2%(1%base) -5% topical gel, extended release. I already have topical gel with Clindamycin Phosphate 1% + Nicotinamide 4%, can I use it instead of Duac?

hi,
duac gel contains benzoyl peroxide + clindamycin it is different from clindamycin + nicotinamide. both are effective in treating acne. choice can be made only by seeing the clinical presentation.
your dermatologist has prescribed correct line of management and i will say that go with him.
trust on him, some time clearing takes 3-4 month or even more.

hope this is helpful for you.

thanks
