Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Looking at your symptoms, you might probably be suffering from upper
respiratory tract infection with Gastroesophageal reflux. You might find relief by taking antibiotics (like Cefadroxyl),
analgesic and anti-inflammatory (like Ibuprofen), antacid with anti-emetic (like Rantac with
Domperidone), antihistaminic (like
Cetrizine) and cough suppressant (like containing
Dextromethorphan).
Also do steam inhalation, avoid cold, spicy, oily and very sweet food. Avoid dust, smoke and other pollutants. Drink plenty of fluids (warm). Drinking hot tea with ginger, honey and lemon will also help. Do warm saline gargles. Even after taking the above measures, if your symptoms are not improving, then it would be advisable to consult an otolaryngologist doctor.
Hope this answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Riddhi Shah
