How To Cure Disturbance In Ear After Getting Hit By An External Force?

I received a slap to the ear last night, next, I noticed a loud ringing sensation following muffled hearing and I feel the need to pop it. I went to sleep last night hoping it would be better in the morning but so far no difference. Is there any recommendations for this, I have no health insurance so I'm very worried!

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You should be concerned as any slap to the face or ears always have the danger of rupturing the drum and you need to make sure that the drum is intact.

In any case a consultation with the ENT is a must but if you are unable to do so then you must keep the ears dry and clean and avoid head bath for a couple of weeks so that the drum will heal. You may also need to take a combination of antibiotics and antihistamine in consultation with your doctor.
