Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You seem to have developed
Allergic Contact Dermatitis to the hair dye. Oozing being a part of the acute dermatitis
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you use a cetrimide 5% based shampoo. Cetrimide is antiseptic as well as degreasing and therefore helps to remove oozing/discharge and loosens up dried crusts.
I would also have started you on a course of an oral
steroids for a short duration of 7-10 days. Oral steroids are antinflammatory and bring about rapid control of the dermatitis.
Topically in such cases I normally ask my patients to use a
topical steroid lotion as well.
A course of an oral antibiotic would serve as a prophylaxis against secondary bacterial infection because of the large area of involvement and lots of oozing.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g
cetrizine 10 mg will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.
I would suggest that you visit a
dermatologist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis. Your dermatologist will assess the exact skin condition and prescribe appropriate treatment.
