How To Cure Friction Burns In The Vagina After Intercourse?
Hi, I recently had vigourous sex with my boyfriend and was not properly lubricatet at one point and noticed i was sore almost straight after sex. I was still sore two days after so had a look and saw that there are two small, what look and fell like friction burns on the posterior fourchet. Look as though the skin has been peeled off and doesnt itch but hurts when urinating and if touched (like raw skin stings) Ive used anti bacterial creams to help but no luck and it has now been four days, Is this friction burns and can i do anything or can the doctor give me anything to help the skin heal?
Your symptoms suggest you have abrasions or sores due to friction on the vaginal walls and the vulva. Avoid sexual intercourse for 3-4 days until they heal (this is to avoid pain and further rash or abrasions). Hydrocortisone 1% cream is to be applied on the sore areas of skin. Apply cool compressed to the area.
Avoid tight undergarments. Avoid harsh cleansing agents and mild soap. Avoid shaving the area until the sores heal. You may use petroleum jelly for lubrication during sexual intercourse from next time to avoid frictional sores. If your symptoms don't subside even after using above for 3-4 days, you may have to consult a gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
