How To Cure Headache And BP Levels Of Around 183/103?

Hi, Iam a 50 years old woman ( do lot of sport, no smoking eat very healthy. But with parents both hypertension . So for more than a year I have been on medicine for blood pressure. 150 grms of losartankalium. Yesterday had every time 160/98 plus headache. Then woke up at 1 am with strong headache so took my blood pressure again anf was 180/100 and I took a 50 gr pill of losar.... Still now at 8:30 am The headache and my bloodp. Is 183/103..... I stop by my doctor asking the assistant to check my blood pressure. But told me to come back at 10:30 cos did not have a blood pressure machine free....so here I am worried

I have read your question and understand your concerns
Blood pressure above 160/90 mmhg with symptoms should be managed on priority basis. So, without delay you should visit a doctor and ask him to change your treatment also.

Losartan alone is not seems to control your blood pressure. Ask your doctor about amlodipine 5mg once or twice a day and then check your blood pressure regularly. Blood pressure less than 140 /90 mmhg should be the target.

Kindly see for any additional reasons for uncontrolled blood pressure like diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol, kidney diseases, hormonal imbalance etc. Ask your doctor regarding testing of all this.

So, in my opinion you should visit your doctor on priority basis and got treatment.
