Hi, I am Archu from India.... My periods are not regular since past 5 months.. more often it delays in 3 to 5 days and two times it got delayed for more than a month. This month my period due date was 7th Sep but I haven t got my periods yet and also I checked for pregnancy via home tester, the result was negative. I had two miscarriage earlier, one @ Aug 2013 and another one @ Aug 2014. We are planning again and these irregular perios are worrying me? Please suggest what should be my next step and how do I make my periods to come regularly?
Your question here suggests two ongoing concerns - firstly the irregularity of periods over last 5 months and secondly, a desire to conceive. These may be related and linked to same health issue. Importantly, while the history of miscarriages is regrettable, it does give a reassurance that you have not had any problems in conceiving. I would suggest that the next step should be a full gynaecological assessment to check for general health and hormonal imbalances that can affect the regularity of periods. This would involve a full blood count, liver and thyroid function tests, Serum LH and FSH. A gynecologist ultrasound would be useful too. Consulting a gynaecologist with full profile of results, will enable you to manage your health in a way that both your concerns can be duly addressed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
