How To Cure Itchiness And Scar On Chest Area Due To Burn?

My baby had an accident when she was 18 months Old. She had second degree burn in her chest area. After healing it left a very bad scar. I can see that the scar is shrinking, but it is itchy sometime and she is scratching herself. Can you suggest a best treatment for getting rid of this scar.burn scar itchy

Hi

Itching over the scarred region is very common .
Any type of skin injury or skin burn tends to heal with some degree of skin fibrosis and skin shrinkage which is a normal skin response while healing .
All you need to do is to moisturise the area well and keep it well hydrated .
Apply plenty of skin moisturisers or hydrating oils so as to avoid too much drying .
