How To Cure Lumps On Neck Which Is Causing Headache?
Thank-you in advance... I have been having bumps or lumps starting on my neck then head with headaches. with these I have extreme tiredness and the bumps disappear and then reappear at different places on my body, most recently today one appeared on my ankle. I am very tired and stay in my recliner all day. Never felt this way before. Went to family doctor had a blood test he said I should get a b12 shot which I am having on the 16th of June. These bumps coming and going have me puzzled. Do you have any ideas as to a diagnosis this could be, I feel very bad.
The bumps you refer may be lymph nodes, which could be related to inflammation, to an infectious disease or to a hematological disorder.
I recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical exam, and some tests:
-chest X ray study for possible mediastinal lymph nodes -abdominal ultrasound -blood lab tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests, kidney and liver function tests).
A biopsy of one of the superficial lumps may be necessary.
You should consult with an infectious disease specialist and perform further tests if an infectious disease is suspected.
Vitamin B12 deficiency doesn't seem to be related to this symptoms. Nevertheless, it would be better checking your vitamin B12 plasma levels to exclude this disorder, which could also explain the chronic fatigue.
Hope to have been helpful! Best wishes, Dr. Aida
