How To Cure Mental Illness When Not Willing To Go For Counselling?
I have a 25 year old daughter who I believe is suffering from some type of mental illness. I don't know how to make her get the help she needs. I am extremely worried. Her life seems to be based on fantasys and lies. She is not productive and i am beginning to believe that she may be involved in illegal activities. We have tried counseling but she refuses to continue. I am terrified that because of the hole she is digging herself into that she may harm herself. What can I do
From what you have described it appears that she has become addicted to some psychotropic medicine she might need admission in deaddiction clinic or in a mental health hospital. Since she refuses counseling, I suggest that she may be given some tranquillizer without her knowledge mixed in highly sweetened drinks. You can powder tablet chlorpromazine 100 mg and mix it in sweetened drink. She may become sedated after 1or 2 hrs. After this with the help of ambulance you can take her to the hospital as suggested above. This medicine usually will be available only on the prescription of registered medical practitioner.
