Hello, I am a healthy (basically) 52 year old white Hispanic female. In 2011 (march), I was given a radical left hemicolectomy with anastomosis r/t severe diverticulosis that was not responding to other treatments. While hospitalized I devolped severe C-diff. (they say it was related to iv abx). I did not respond to oral treatments. I was given no choice but to try rectal transplant. Unfortunately, because the diarrhea was soooooo severe, it took several transplants to be effective. This was a very painful and filthy experience. ( How can you hold an enema inside you for 15 minutes....the recommended time......when you cannot even hold your own shit under normal circumstances??????? It took 4 long months to be cured of the c diff. Now I am having very painful rectal spasms, severe diarrhea only controlled with prophylactic immodium 2-3 daily and as needed. Alternately, I seem to have no peristalsis. I have extreme pain with anything in the rectal vault no matter how small or large. even if just gas. There is little to no peristalsis so I often have had to push extremely hard and/or resort to digital removal. Today as I performed a digital removal it occurs to me that I have a large lump within the folds of my rectum. It is painful/tender. .....Thoughts? By the way have discussed this at length with my primary physician with no answers. Was sent for colonoscopy with a clean bill of health. this was months ago before lump was found. ........Please advise
