i have rashes in fingers of my both hands for at least last 20 years. its very dry, sometime crackes. it comes and goes. some time it goes completly and comes back again later after few weeks. i saw so many doctors and they did so many diffrent tests. all they said i have to live with that and i am really allergic to steroids. so its really difficult to treat. is there really any treatment out there? another thing is, i am gonna give finger print for my citizenship, do you think is it gonna any problem for that?
Hi. As per your case history you are having eczema on fingers. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it. 3. Apply a tacrolimus 0.03 % ointment twice daily on affected skin. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
