How To Cure Red Bumps And Spots On The Back After Waxing?
hi Im 21 years old, female, student, unmarried I got my back waxed 2 days aago at a local salon and since then the skin over the back has broken out into red bumps and spots. Ive been applying ice and using lactocalamine lotion. But they dont seem to be going away. Is there anything else i can do?
As per your complain red bumps and spots on back after waxing can be due to inflammation caused by excessive heat exposure due to wax as well as injury to the skin surface during removal of the wax strip with a snap to remove hairs.. You are doing correct remedy by doing cold compresses and applying calamine lotion but you need to apply steroid ointment over the bumps like 0.1% Triamcinolone Acetonide for reducing inflammation.. Also apply an antibacterial ointment to prevent infection. Take anti-inflammatory medicines like Ibuprofen.. Do not scratch if they itch..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
