I ve had these small bumps on my face for years, with white lumps (or stringy) coming out when squeezed. I ve used exfoliators and cleansers with benzoyl peroxide at night. When I wake up in the morning, the bumps seem to reduce in size but at the end of the day they all come back to what they were before. When I squeeze them, either white lump or stringy pus comes out which has a foul smell to it. I ve searched online for solution and help, but I m not sure what it is and how to fix it. Please help!
You seem to suffer from severe grade of acne, nodular/cystic acne.
Oral retinoids are the preferred choice of drugs in severe grade of acne. They can be started in a does of 20mg once daily , which can be increased to 20mg twice daily or thrice daily, thereafter. Retinoids are effective in acne unresponsive to traditional antiacne medicines. They decrease sebum secretion and are comedolytic, and thereby decrease the formation of new acne as well.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic. Topical antiacne medicines e.g benzoyl peroxide gel or clindamycin gel can be continued. Oral antibiotics e.g Azithromycin can also be stared and continued for 4-12 weeks, till retinoids take over. regards
