How To Cure Swelling Of The Lower Eye Socket?

I fll and got carpet burn on my face around my left eye, two days later the lower eye socket is still pretty swollen, since the accident i have been taking a regimin of two over the counter ibuprofin to try to reduce swelling. visin is fine and burns seem to be healing normally. Should i still be concerned about the swelling?

Apply some local antibiotic eye oint over the burnt nearby skin or betadine soln thin film.
