How To Cure The Condition Of GBS (Guillain -Barre Syndrome)?
Hi I am Scott and have been suffering with the symptoms of GBS for over a year now. I saw a neurologist and keep getting the same response it takes time to heal from it. I was just wondering if any of you have come across patients who have ever recovered from GBS? I still have weakness in my legs and tingling in both feet. I have also had a gastric by pass could this have contributed to the GBS?
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
I am afraid that there is not much more that your neurologist can do now though. Guillain Barre can affect patients to different degrees, some recover completely from it, some develop respiratory muscle failure and may die and in some it recovers but may leave some residual signs such as those you describe. The disease by now has run its course, it is not about finding a cure. Whether you will recover completely or some signs will remain only time will tell, after over a year there is a chance some symptoms will be left.
I hope to have answered your question.
