How To Cure Withdrawal Symptoms Of Dilantin?
My nephew was prescribed Dilantin when he was two years old. he continued to take it till he was eight and then it was stopped since his problem of seizures was cured. While on Dilantin he developed scaly skin on his stomach, neck and hands etc. Another problem was sudden and excessive watering of eyes. Both these problems are still continuing even though he is now 16 years old. Eye examination is normal but for ski the doctors say it is allergy. Couldit be that both these problems are side effects of Dilantin. How can they be cured?

Regarding your concern, I would explain that as Dilantin has been stopped, even her adverse effects can not occur now.
You should know that Dilantin does not deposit in human tissues and its effects last for a short time after stopping its intake.
The scaly skin during its intake could be related to Dilantin. But the situation should improve after stopping it.
Coming to this point, I would recommend performing allergy test for possible allergy.
A dermatological consult may be helpful to determine the skin problems.
