Hi,
Recurrent infections need prolonged treatment lasting for up to six months. Genital hygiene needs to be maintained. You should also test for increased blood sugar levels as in such conditions, there is increased vulnerability to infections. Pregnancy poses a low immune state prone for infections and added to this, the natural acidic nature of the vagina is changed to alkaline and thus infections easily set in. If possible, oral treatment also may be given as you are already well into your second trimester; your partner also may need to be treated. Hope this helps.
