How To Deal With Swelling And Pain In Old Injury Of Ribs?

I had a car accident 7 years ago, broke ribs and sternum. Ever since I always have pain some days more than other but always there. The injured side has healed and I gave had mri s and X-rays but it pokes out noticeably. Always slight to mild swelling as well. Can it be fixed
