How To Decrease Swelling On Face Caused Due To An Injury?
I had a terrible fall at school (teacher) and was hospitalized for 3 days.My forehead still has a large knot on it. My cheek is very swollen and a knot on my chin. All CT scans revealed there was not internal bleeding and my cheek bone was not fractured. It s been 9 days since the accident and I am still very swollen. What more can I do to decrease and get rid of the swelling in my face? I am also dealing with blue/black bruising all over my face.
Dear patient Swelling that occurs after fall is due to blunt trauma and contusion and takes time to disappear. Apply ice packs frequently every 2 hourly on face. Take tablet chymoral forte three times a day for 5 days . Bruising is due to blood collection and takes around one month to go. Do not worry as your ct scan is normal and thr is no fracture.
