Hello and welcome,

The symptoms are most likely due to pregnancy or due to due to infection. If you have not conceived in the previous cycle does not mean that you may not conceive now. If there has been an unprotected sexual act then pregnancy is always possible.

The bleeding may be implantation bleeding occuring when the baby attaches to the mother. The best way to rule out a pregnancy now is by a blood test or a urine test taken 7 days after the day of bleeding.

As of now, just take a light diet of clear soups and gruel. Drink plenty of fluids to clear any urine infection. If the symptoms persist, you will need to see a doctor and get treatment for the urinary infection.

The best way to know if you can potentially carry a pregnancy is by getting pregnant. Other tests will help rule out any problems with the system but they do not tell you if you can get pregnant. If you feel that you have not conceived despite having a sexual episode during ovulation, try it for 5-6 months. If it fails repeatedly then you will need to see a gynecologist and get an ultrasound done to look at the uterus and the ovaries and may also need tests to check if tubes are open. A semen analysis of the male partner will also be needed to rule out any issues with it.

So as of now, please do not worry. Just see a doctor if the symptoms worsen.
