How To Determine The Biological Father Of A Child?
Hello, My girlfriend had tested postive for bein pregnant using a clear blue digital test. It sats she is 3+ weeks. She had unprotected sex in mid july with a male and took about 4 tests between then and the end of august. Me and her got together on the 4th of august and have always had unprotected sex but she has been on the pill. She has missed the pill on a few occasions while being with me. My question is that who is more likely to be the father? me or the other male? keeping in mind in the space of a month and a half, she had all negative tests, stopped doing tests untill today and has came back positive.

This is a common question and is a valid concern. A pregnancy test will turn positive about two weeks after conception. So, I would not rely on the urine test being able to tell someone how far along they are - it is more important WHEN it turned positive and how long before she had unprotected intercourse and with who. That being said, the ONLY way to reliably give an accurate answer is by knowing her due date. This, combined with the timing / date of the first ultrasound will give a very accurate guestimate of when she conceived. I am happy to help further with this through our paid service and you can ask for Dr. Raichle.
I hope that this helps and good luck! Dr. Tim
