How To Determine The Paternity Of Child During Pregnancy?
Im 27,5'8" and 200lbs. I had my lmp on June 24th. i had sex with partner #1 a couple days later then I had sex with partner#2 a week later. I found out today in the e.r. that Im pregnant. the doctor said based on the levels Im a couple weeks. how an I know which one is more likely to be the father? or was I already pregnant?
Hello, Sperms can remain viable up to a maximum of 7 days after release into the female genital tract. You would ovulate two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle and the ovum remains alive for a maximum of 24 hours after release. Thus, the intercourse which happened closer to your fertile period is more likely to have resulted in the pregnancy, presuming both men have good sperm counts and motility. DNA testing of the baby is the only other alternative to know the paternity. Hope this helps.
