Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. With congestion going in for that long in a child of this age, it is important to be examined by your doctor. However, if your doctor's response was to let it run its course, you can use saline nose drops followed by bulb syringe suction as a way to clear out the nose. additionally, keeping cool mist vaporizer running in his room.Over the counter cough and cold remedies are not recommended for this age group. So the nose drops and suction are our only remaining options, along with the vaporizer.
