Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
42 years old, 5 5 , 203 lbs, I do have Lupus ( in remission) OA, Osteopina. I was walking down the stairs at home and my knee gave out, popped and felt like it was on fire. Then when I straightened up it popped very loudly again. Now it is locking up with stabbing pain and something can physically be felts moving in my knee when I bend it.
Your symptoms could be related to ligament or meniscus rupture in the knee joint. For this reason, I recommend consulting with an orthopedist for a physical exam and a knee joint MRI.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
