How To Elevate Hemoglobin Level During Pregnancy?
My wife is pregnant and she is beta-thalassemia minor. She is at Week-20 now. Her haemoglobin is at 10. Her doctor prescribed ferrous fumarate 200 mg to her, and asked her to have the haemoglobin level above 10. Not sure, does it help or really damage her health and baby for taking iron?

During pregnancy hemoglobin (hb) level should be atleast 11. And your wife having thal. minor then should be more concentrate on hb level.
The medicine prescribed by your dr is definately help her to increae her hb level.
