Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I have a double tail bone. I have had this my whole life. I am 100 lbs, 5 2, and 24 years old. I have always had a high metabolism that prevents me from gaining a lot of weight. I m wondering how common a double tail bone is and if there s anything to get it fixed.
Hi If spina bifida or double tail bone as you say, is asymptomatic, then it's best left alone. If you have abnormally high BMR, it should be investigated by an endocrinologist.Thyroid disease occasionally is cause of it and results in non gain in weight despite good appetite Try to take adequate fats diets and high calorific diets.
