Hi,
Depression usually has causes that should be identified. This lead to the person being less interested in live. These causes are wide ranging: could be problem with family, especially the husband. So he should begin by finding out if he has not offended her, does she like where they are. Is any member of her family having a problem? Has she a failure recently in any thing? Is she taking medication that could cause depression. The immediate solution will be comforting her, showing her love, not leaving her alone, changing place, or anticipate returning from overseas. They could as well contact a psychiatric, if condition is not improving.
Hope this helps
