How To Get Relief From Diarrhea Along With Abdominal Cramps And Vomitings?
2 days ago diarrhea about 3 times. No bowel movement yesterday. 3am today abdominal cramps, then vomiting off & on since about 4 am. Getting more frequent. Diarrhea started at 7:40 am. Doesn't seem to be getting any better. No headache, no apparent fever. Some chills & hot flash when vomiting.
It sounds like you may have a case of gastroenteritis. Most cases are caused by viruses, where the only treatment is symptom control and tincture of time.
- Imodium is a good medicine to resolve diarrhea. You can buy it over-the-counter. I would not recommend taking it if you have a fever, as that may be a sign of a bacterial infection which may be worsened by slowing down you bowels. - Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Things like gatorade or Pedialyte can help you stay hydrated. - Make sure you stay clear of food-processing. You don't want to pass your bug on to somebody else!
