How To Get Rid Of Bad Taste In Mouth After Anesthesia?
Had surgery about 5 days ago and the taste and smell in my mouth and nose is awful! Almost unbearable. It s a metallic sulphur taste/smell. I can t smell or taste anything normal. Every breath I take is sickening. Is there a way to wash the anesthetic and antibiotics used during surgery out of my system?
Hi. Thanks for an elucidate history. You have understood the problem. IT is usually the medicines you are receiving at the moment that cause the weird smell and / or taste. This will revert back to normal the moment you will be on the changed medicines. The time is due as the medicines are stopped or changed after 5 days of surgery. Anesthetic in modern days is almost washed out immediately at the end or during the few hours after surgery and will have no effect for such a long time.
