Hi, I m 18 years old and I ve had this bump that keeps coming back. It s right above my clitorus. Sometimes you can squeeze puss out of it, almost like a pimple, but I m worried that it might be a cyst since I ve had one before (but not in that area). Do you know what it would be?
Hello dear I understand your concern The most common reasons of the bump on the clitoris like you have can be- 1. Folliculitis - It is due to an infected hair follicle. Usually has pus inside and Needs an antibiotic and anti inflammatory drug for treatment. 2. Sebaceous cyst- Due to a blocked sebaceous gland. The secretions collection inside cause pain. Needs to be surgically removed if infected. Other cause can be molluscum and bartholin's cyst
A detailed examination is a must for proper diagnosis and treatment. Apply mupirocin ointment Warm pad application Take warm bath 2-3 times per day Maintain proper pelvic hygiene Wishing you good health. Best regards Dr. Sagar
