How To Get Rid Of Discomfort In Ears After Getting Slapped?

I got slapped decently hard in the face, and I heard that white noise I guess you could call it? Sounds like a high pitch frequency. Well, I instantly experienced discomfort in my ear, and a lack of hearing. It s been a couple days, and It doesn t hurt (aside from the headache it gives me), but I feel like my hearing is cloudy . It s not necessarily any worse it just feels like I need to pop them if that makes any sense.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, traumatic injury to ear with slap can lead to injury to ear drum and that can cause muffled hearing. The other reason can be a concussion like injury to ear because of force of slap. If there is perforation of ear drum, keep the ear dry and don't put any drops in ear. Many a times the traumatic perforation heal on their own. Concussion injury gets relieved with time. But both these conditions can leave residual effects which can be annoying in long run. Pleas see an ENT and he/she can decide if any intervention is required. You can take an analgesic if there is some pain. B complex tablets are supposed to help but the role is not proven. Regards
