How To Get Rid Of Facial Acne Scar While On Clindac And Clearz Plus With No Result?

Hi ..i had acne scar so i used garlic on it but instead if removing the marks it increased it an now i have more marks near the whole cheek area . I have started using clindac a gel at night and Dr Reddys Clearz plus in d morning it still doesnt dissapear what shouldi do . can i use deriva c ms gel as well .is it safe to use.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

For acne marks, one can use one of the skin lightening creams containing one or more of the following ingredients like kojic acid, glycolic acid, Azaleic acid, Hydroquinone etc

I usually prescribe Azaleic acid 10% or 20% gel, in my patients of post acne hyperpigmentation. It should be applied twice daily and is effective for both acne as well as post acne hyperpigmentation.

Along with it gentle cleansing is recommended twice daily and also a broad spectrum gel based sunscreen throughout the day.
