Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You are suffering from Pica characterized by an appetite for substances largely non-nutritive, such as clay, chalk, soil or sand;in your case cement. The disorder is a specific appetite caused by mineral deficiency in many cases, such as iron deficiency.Low haemoglobin in your case is due to iron deficiency.to confirm it you should undergo peripheral blood smear examination for type of anemia,Serum iron,TIBC (total iron binding capacity) & Serum ferritin level.Iron deficiency may be treatable though iron supplement & dietary changes and can reduce your craving for cement.
For pica that appears to be of psychotic etiology, therapy and medication such as SSRIs(serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitors) e.g. fluoxetine, escitalopram have been used successfully.
Other non-medication techniques might include other ways for oral stimulation such as gum. Foods such as popcorn have also been found helpful. These things can be placed in a “Pica Box” that should be easily accessible to the individual when they feel like engaging in pica.
