How To Get Rid Of Itching On Right Side Of Labia Minora?

The right side of my labia minora was itching very badly so I scratched it until the itch subsided. Several minutes later, it started to hurt badly. I put powder on it and it helped for the rest of that night. Its two days later and it doesn't hurt anymore but it feels irritated, what can I do to fix it?

Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Most common cause of labia itching could be due to overgrowth of yeast, which causes swelling, burning, itchiness. This could be aggravated by antibiotic use, pregnancy, diabetes, or oral contraceptive use, stress etc.

If left untreated can result in cottage-cheese-like discharge With itchiness.

I advice you to,
1. Use antifungal cream & Cortisone cream
2. Take Probiotic supplements
3. Apply Coconut oil
4. Use candid vaginal tablet at night before going to bed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
