Hi my name is Deborah,i have a golf ball lump under my right armpit,it not painful or anything its been over a year now i went to the doctor he told me he didn't feel anything he told me its not a mass he said he didn;t think it was anything serious he set me a appoimtment for a mamagram an ultrasound do u think it could be cancer

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have enlarged lump in axillary. It can be enlarged axillary lymphnode or soft tissue tumor like lipoma or some metastatic carcinoma. You should go for ultrasound study first. If it shows lump then you should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
