Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi.

I had gone through your query.

Piriton contains chlorphenamine melate and has addictive potential.

Need to be strong motivated to cut down its use gradually.

Occasionally it will produce physical withdrawal symptoms. Psychological withdrawal symptoms like craving of the drug is more marked.

De addiction and detoxification is the main two steps.

Motivational counseling with brief interview sessions can help.

Consult psychiatrist for better evaluation and advise.

I hope i have answered your query.

Thank you.
