How To Get Rid Of Tennis Elbow?

tennis or golf elbow I am a 41 year old female. I am 5 8 and weigh 150. I have had tennis elbow for exactly one full year now with no hope of my forearm ever getting better. I work out everyday, but have tried taking breaks to see if I can heal it by resting it, but it is still the same and hurts like heck. I don t have any health insurance, so I haven t been to the doctor about it. so my question is....is do I have to go see a doctor in order to heal it or is there some other way it can be done? Is going to the doctor my only hope in ever getting full use of my arm again? it is so painful and has really limited everything in my life.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

Consult an orthopedic and get evaluated. In severe cases, newer techniques like steroid injection might be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
