How To Get Rid Of The Lump On The Top Of My Trapezius Muscle At The Base Of My Neck And The Chronic Back Pain?
I have a lump on the top (and partially behind) of my right trapezius muscle at the junction at the base of my neck. It's 2cm long an I experience chronic pain at the back I this trapezius muscle near the spine at times . It's worst when I use my right hand to drive or to hold the phone to my ears. It's there for over three years now.
Lump of such nature could be : 1. Lipoma .(fat collection) 2. Cyst 3. Localized herniated muscle.
Most of such swellings are left alone if they don't cause any symptoms.
They are to be removed when : 1. They cause excess pain 2. They start increasing in size 3. They become infected or there is change in its consistency or colour.
As for now.....kindly get a FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology ) done This will tell about its characteristics.
Further treatment will depend on the FNAC report. If it bothers you too much. ....get it removed anyway.
I hope my advice has helped Good luck
